The main advantage of this system is the use of the so-called Venturi effect.The diameter of the intake area is tapered down gradually to reduce the initial suction required to start air flow and increase air flow velocity. This is very helpful in 70cc engines where suction is not very high to begin with. The air flow is directed into a resonance chamber via a Venturi insert, this resonance chamber has the combined advantage of reducing intake noise and fuel vibration – the carburetor will run more smoothly and can be adjusted a lot easier.

The air filter can be used on carburetors with an air filter connection of 48 mm. The box fits 19 to 28 mm PWK and Polini CP carburetors.
