To improve the performance of your motorcycle, scooter or even moped, you should consider installing a bigger carburetor. This 2-stroke carburetor type PWK will get you excellent performance at a really fair price.

What is a PWK carburetor?

PWK carburetors are large diameter tuning carburetors that are mainly intended for racing. They are equipped with a fuel inlet, a vacuum port, a chromed flat slide, a powerjet, a large float chamber and a lever choke. There are two main groups:

• 28mm to 30mm models: Manifold connection 35 mm and air filter connection 50 mm.
• 30mm to 34mm models: Manifold connection 39 mm and air filter connection 55 mm.

In terms of performance, the carburetor offers improved throttle response and better filling at high rpm. This improves engine response and increases top speed.

WHich carburetor size do I need?

It is very important to properly size your new PWK carburetor - not too big and not too small! If it is too small, the engine may overheat, and if it is too big, fuel consumption will be unnecessarily high and the performance will not be appropriate.

Here is a guideline:

• Carburetor PWK 28 mm (MJ 135, PJ 55, PowerJet 32) ==> 70 - 80 cc Racing / High-End Racing
• Carburetor PWK 30 mm (MJ 140, PJ 55, PowerJet 32) ==> 80 - 90 cc Racing / High-End Racing
• Carburetor PWK 32 mm (MJ 160, PJ 55, PowerJet 32) ==> 80 - 90 cc High-End Racing
• Carburetor PWK 34 mm (MJ 160, PJ 55, PowerJet 32) ==> 90 - 100 cc High-End Racing

Please note: When installing this type of carburetor, the original intake system can no longer be used, you will need a larger intake manifold / larger intake rubber with a diameter of 35 mm or 40 mm; in addition, the original throttle cable and original air filter must be replaced.
