What are the benefits of an open CDI?

Original 50cc engines are heavily restricted ex works, an open CDI can be used to remedy this. The ECU / ECM control unit regulates the amount of fuel delivered by the injection module via pre-programmed parameters and optimizes the ignition timing. In addition, the rev limiter only kicks in from 10,000 rpm. Optimized ignition and injection curves ensure a clearly noticeable increase in performance.

• Mapping 1 : Can be installed plug & play - RPM limiter from 8,100 rpm
• Mapping: 2 +3: Use with supplied valve springs - RPM limiter from 10,000 rpm

To ensure optimum operation of the CDI, we recommend installing a sports CVT and an open intake hose, or ordering the complete derestriction kit P171.0009.
