If your chain is starting to stretch out and show easy side to side play, the links develop flat wear patterns or you notice rust and the sprockets are worn down which you can easily see as the teeth are either broken, bent, worn down or cupped out at the base, it is high time to change chain and sprockets. Don’t forget to adjust chain tension after installation!
