The intake system consists of the actual aluminium intake pipe, a reed valve with 6 petals, the mount for the valve and all small parts needed for assembly. If you are looking for a real performance boost to your engine, a reed control intake is the way to go. Another reason to use a reed valve intake instead of the more basic disc valve intakes is the fact that in case of severe damage to the sealing surface you’ll have to use one of these; replacing the damaged original with a disc valve manifold is not possible.

We recommend getting a manifold with appropriate diameters (carburetor + air filter). Choosing the wrong intake manifold can lead to more air turbulence and worse air intake, and the engine will not be able to breathe efficiently. Choosing the right intake can get you noticeably more power, we’re talking 2 – 3 hp here.
