The inner cables are made of special steel designed for bowden cables, they do not break as quickly as mass-produced cables that most of the time are made with more brittle stainless steel cores.

However, since such traditionally made inner cables tend to rust, they are lubricated with an Interflon high-performance grease to last a lifetime.
