Crankshaft 47mm stroke / 100mm connecting rod Stage6 R/T 100FL for Malossi C-One / RC-One cases, latest development of the Stage6 R/T Team. The crankshaft can be mounted with the Malossi C-One or RC-One cases!
The high-end racing crankshaft was clearly designed for racing and to get the maximum power out of the Stage6 R/T FL 100cc cylinder.
As a central part of the engine, the crankshaft is an essential element for the stability of an engine, but above all for the optimal power transmission of the engine and resulting power and torque.
In contrast to conventional crankshafts, the lower crank pin of the Stage6 R/T shaft was dimensioned to 20mm. The bearing on the lower connecting rod eye was chosen correspondingly larger. This leads to the fact that the pressing of the cheeks is much stiffer and the entire crankshaft is much more durable. At peak powers over 40PS and especially in circuit use, a must have (Bigger is simply better here).
Of course, special attention was also paid to the design and balancing of the crankshaft, especially in view of the use with the RT100cc cylinder.
The crankshaft is manufactured in Italy with the highest quality standards:
- high-end balancing using six high-density Tungsten inserts (17.6 g / cm3) and ultra-light connecting rod (less than 80 g)
- noticeable power increase in both low as well as high rpm range
- all Stage6 R/T crankshafts are controlled for oscillation within max 0,02mm to maximally reduce vibrations
- hot forged shafts made of case hardened 18 Ni Cr Mo5 steel
- thread rolling by cold forming (not cutting) for increased durability
- heat treatments with controlled HRC (hardness) on shafts and axles
- double hardening cycle for the connecting rod, also with controlled hardness
- CNC-machined connecting rod with final quality check of hole parallelism
- perfect surface finish by grinding and lapping for better reliability with 100% dimensional stability
- HQ small end bearing, silver plated, designed for high speeds
All crankshafts are coated with a heavy layer of oil for protection. They should be thoroughly cleaned with fuel before assembly.
