The shock absorber is the suspension on a scooter, moped, maxi scooter or dirt bike / supermotard and is extremely important when it comes to driving characteristics, handling and safety. Nearly all shock absorbers are either gas-pressure or gas-oil pressure shock absorbers, most of them are equipped with a coil-over spring. ... We have many different types - from standard shock absorbers in OEM quality with a rather soft spring and correspondingly comfortable suspension to sports shock absorbers with a harder spring and high-end racing shocks from manufacturers like Stage6 R/T, where spring preload as well as compression and rebound can be optimally adjusted to setup, weight, driving style and terrain. The upside-down shocks mean that the shock is simply installed upside down or reversed, on the high-low shocks the compression can be adjusted differently for high- and low-speed range, which can be particularly advantageous for racing.
