THE CRANKSHAFT - THE HARDEST WORKER IN THE ENGINE

The crankshaft is one of the central figures in a scooter engine and has to withstand a lot of stress. The crankshaft converts the up and down movement of the piston into a rotary motion, which is then transmitted to the transmission. The main components of a crankshaft are crankpin, crankwebs and connecting rod. Crankshafts can differ in many ways - full-circle vs. half-circle, crankweb size, stroke length, connecting rod length, journal diameter, crankpin diameter, etc....

We carry many OEM quality crankshafts, for example by Motoforce, which are basically identical to the original crankshaft. Stage6 offers the HPC Team Replica with 85mm connecting rod for 12 mm piston pin, and for extreme tuning projects we got high end racing crankshafts like the famous 2Fast with 44mm stroke and 90mm connecting rod, which can withstand up to 20,000 rpm.
