THE CVT: CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION OF A MODERN SCOOTER ENGINE
In modern scooters, power is not transmitted by a manual transmission, but by the so-called CVT / variator. The scooter automatically shifts through a continuous range of gear ratios, the driver does not have to shift manually and / or use the clutch. The CVT or variator consists of four main elements: the actual variator, the torque drive, the clutch and the transmission. These four parts complement each other and should therefore always match each other....
The variator is responsible for changing the gear ratio during acceleration. The variator works on the principle of centrifugal force: round variator weights, also called rollers, control the movement of the variator and the related movement of the pulley and the V-belt sitting on it.
THE VARIATOR TRANSMITS THE POWER OF THE ENGINE TO THE REAR WHEEL

This type of variator has a larger diameter than the original and optimized low-friction roller tracks as well as optimized / variable pulley opening angles. These high-end parts should always be used with a matching torque drive, pulley and V-belt, otherwise the maximum potential cannot be reached
