For fans and friends of the Puch Maxi, Airsal has a few powerful tuning cylinders on offer, this is the Cylinder Kit d.47mm Airsal Racing 75cc Puch Maxi. The cylinder ran and runs once again under the name Eurokit and was not built for several years, now it is available again. There is more or less the end of the totem pole in terms of tuning your Puch Maxi, anything more and it will blow up in your face.
Airsal's aluminium cylinders are renowned for good quality, excellent heat dissipation properties and a robust hard-coated cylinder liners. Airsal has further improved the cooling characteristics by increasing the distance between the now slightly narrower cooling fins. The cylinder has a total of 8 ports or windows - 4 main transfer ports, inlet and an outlet supported by 2 boost ports.
The racing cylinder comes with a 1-ring piston for reduced friction, gaskets and cylinder head. Note: the crankcase has to be milled a little bit to make room for the cylinder base!
The increase in power is quite spectacular, this is why the cylinder should be used with suitable components. A bigger carburettor would be nice, but in any case a bigger main jet must be used. A matching sport exhaust will also help the cylinder reach peak performance.
