DOPPLER is one of the few manufacturers to offer this classic racing spring. This version was specifically developed for Peugeot SPX / RCX racing mopeds with tuning crankcases (Polini / Malossi).

Function ER1 engine spring

The Doppler ER1 engine spring stabilizes the engine, among other things, but its main task is to adjust the variator's progression to the engine's RPM. Thanks to this spring, the drive belt stays properly tensioned at all times. This is essential with CVT systems like those found on mopeds, where the pulley diameter remains constant and the engine tilts slightly backward during operation.

The spring is installed between the frame and the engine and is mounted on a nylon ball joint. Spring tension can be adjusted via a thread. You can also replace the standard yellow medium spring with a softer or harder version (see spare parts).

Also ideal for higher revving engines / racing setups.
