Hinson, the beginnings:

In 1992 Wayne Hinson founded the company Hinson Clutch Components. The real story begins in 1989, Wayne, a long-time motorsports fan and motorcycle and quad rider himself, became known when he worked with professional quad rider Gary Denton (8-time US Champion, 7 of those with Hinson). Denton had a recurring problem with the stock clutch bells failing him several times a year. Wayne Hinson decided to develop a reinforced clutch. The stock versions were made of cast aluminum. The first idea was to use steel, but steel is just too heavy. Wayne decided to use a stronger aluminum, machined from billet aluminium and then hard anodized. The first clutch bell not only lasted 4 racing seasons, but won 4 championship titles.

Hinson, the brand's evolution:

Hinson quickly became known in the racing scene for the high quality their clutch bells, the US Honda team (factory team) decided to equip their machines for the Supercross and Motocross Championships (with very famous riders Jeremy McGrath and Steve Lamson) with Hinson clutch bells. by the way this is the first time factory machines were equipped with "aftermarket" parts!

In the following years, Hinson equipped almost all factory machines that competed in the various MX, SX, Quad or Enduro championships and other international competitions, winning more than 400 titles in less than 30 years.
