The transmission has a gear ratio of 14/42 for higher top speed, at the same time acceleration will not be affected. This gear ratio is ideally suited and often used in 70cc racing engines. As tuned engines have a tendency to vibrate, Malossi added extra ("third") support to the primary drive shaft. An additional third bearing in the transmission cover provides extra support and stability.
Minor modifications are necessary to accommodate this transmission, but we can assure you that it's well worth it! It takes about 15 minutes to do this, detailed instructions are given in the manual.
