THOR - Company History

THOR was founded in 1968 in the USA. Although the company is now American, its founder was not a US citizen, but a Swede. Torsten Hallman, a 4-time motocross world champion, originally came to the USA to promote Husqvarna motorcycles. When he won in the USA, he looked around the scene and realized that the Americans were not as well equipped as the Europeans. He therefore decided to create his own brand, Hallman Racing, which soon became the famous THOR brand (for Torsten Hallman Original Racewear). With his good reputation, he quickly became successful, the product range was quickly expanded and one championship title chased another.

Motocross, Supercross, Enduro - off-road racing is in the DNA of Thor, in the DNA of the founder himself. Partnering with numerous professional riders, the American company has been winning title after title for over half a century and don't seem to plan on giving up their place as one of the market leaders. Thor's developers respond to rider feedback and are constantly developing new products to meet the ever-increasing demands of the off-road community.
