Schmitt - Idea and beginnings

Behind the company Schmitt, founded in 2004, are seven employees of Racing Planet, the expert for two-wheelers from Jena, Germany. The initials of moped fans Sebastian, Claudia, Holger, Matthias, Iris, Torsten and Thibault result (certainly by chance) in the brand name Schmitt. The original German name sums up the original idea behind the company - high-quality tuning and spare parts for vintage mopeds and mopeds from German-speaking countries (Germany and Austria), all developed in Germany and manufactured in Germany and Western Europe.

Schmitt - product range

Schmitt's ever-growing product range is specifically designed for classic two-wheelers from Kreidler, Simson, Puch, Schwalbe and Zündapp. The product range includes spare parts in OEM quality such as cables for throttle, brake, clutch, starter and decompressor for various Puch models, crankshafts with telling names such as Dampfhammer and Drehfreund for Simson or tuning / sport cylinders such as the "Sportfreund" or cylinder accessories such as high-quality pistons and state-of-the-art cylinder heads.
